Not seeing a great deal of early speed. KILMER (2) created a strong impression when fresh from a spell last start over this distance at Wangaratta, winding up from last to be beaten just over a length. Was in the money in a better maiden than this second-up last prep at Ballarat. Looks ready to win now with the blinkers going back on. WISER (4) made a move before the corner then tried hard but found one a little better over 1200m at Wagga last time out. Lightly raced three-year-old who is rock hard fit and a win appears imminent. TRUST IN CHAD (9) led in a change of tactics and was game to hold on for third at Wagga last start. Can run another big race with the help of the inside alley. SUPER JULES (14) isn't the most reliable galloper but can sneak into the finish while fresh. CARRAMAR (3) ran a better race at Tumut last time when lining up for the second time. This is much tougher - exotics only. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Kilmer.
