Strong early tempo with Silence Gold, Meisho Otogi and Durham Castle leading the way. RARE GRYPHON (12) turned in a fine effort to score by 3.5 lengths at today's track and distance when first-up from a layoff last start. Must raise the bar but he has the talent to test this line-up. PULP FICTION (1) is a speedy filly who returned from a break with a win over 1000m at this track. Drawn to enjoy a nice trail just off the pace. Best figures should see her run well. MAQUILLAGE (9) is back from a spell of ten weeks. Raced once last campaign and finished second over 1000m at Niigata. Should camp just off the leaders. One of the main contenders. KANZASHI (2) finished last campaign with a couple of minor placings, the latest over 1200m at Nakayama Dirt four months ago. Backmarker who gets home hard. Will be doing her best work late.
