ERIKA SAPPHIRE (1) disappointed when 5 lengths back in seventh last time over 1700m at Sapporo Dirt. Kept fresh for this. Can feature prominently. GROUND BEAT (2) resumes today after closing off last preparation with three consecutive wins, the latest over 1600m at this track on June 8. Takeshi Yokoyama is back on and has a solid record on the three-year-old, including two wins. Sure to be competitive. GEORGE TESORO (11) returns from a layoff of three months.
