Fast early pace with Red Rostam showing out and Salt Queen crossing to apply some pressure. ECORO MARS (9) resumes from a spell of 12 weeks after closing off last preparation with four consecutive minor placings. Has good early toe so he should be handy in the run. Sure to be in the finish. RED ROSTAM (6) raced on the speed when resuming last start and battled on well but found one better over 1600m at Nakayama. Going well enough to take this out. BARREL TURN (15) finished second last time over 1600m at Chukyo when resuming from a spell, beaten one length. Goes up a rung or two but he is capable of a big run. JAZZ (1) will strip fitter for this after running below expectations first-up at Chukyo, finishing seventh and beaten 4 lengths over 1600m. Should be thereabouts in this suitable race.
