Genuine tempo with Mago Ichita and Artless Mind battling for early supremacy. KAGA SEVEN STAR (5) finished 1.75 lengths from the winner in fourth last start after being in the firing line on the bend over 1800m at Chukyo Dirt, an improvement on his fifth on debut at Chukyo Dirt the run before. Progressing nicely. Sure to run well. ARTLESS MIND (9) finished out of the money on debut two starts back then was beaten 8 lengths when sixth in a 1400m contest at Chukyo Dirt four weeks ago. Likely improver with strong prospects. VAL MIRACLE (1) is a two-start maiden who finished fourth, beaten 1.3 lengths, when resuming from a spell last start over 1800m at Chukyo Dirt. Definite top-three hope with plenty of improvement to come. SLAZAK (6) debuted over 1200m at Kokura back on July 14 and finished sixth, beaten 8 lengths. Will be better for that run and is expected to go well.
