HILLBILLY ELEGY (1) ran below expectations last time after being in the firing line on the bend at this track, finishing eighth and beaten 14 lengths starting at $9.70. Nicely placed to bounce back. EIS KING (4) found a couple better when resuming last start at this track over 1000m. Has a strong record at this trip, scoring seven times from nine starts. Yuki Yamanaka who has six wins when partnering stays on. Should be hard to stop. POD BUDDY (6) was a gutsy winner two back then finished sixth over 1200m at this track on June 4. Should camp just off the leaders. One of the main contenders. SEKITEI RARE (5) is finding the breakthrough elusive, beaten 4 lengths into fifth at her latest appearance over 1200m at this track. One of the better hopes.
