In a race devoid of early speed Rare Honor is the most likely to find the front. MIDNIGHT DEAL (13) was solid on debut when finishing 1.3L off the winner at Northam first-up. She closed off strongly there and the mile second-up looks perfect with Pike in the saddle now. The wide draw makes things tricky, but she looks a nice filly on the way up. BANGALONG (11) flew home to just miss over this trip on the Scarpside circuit here 8 days ago, being edged out in a photo finish as a 30-1 pop. A better draw this time should see her prominent in the run. Brad Parnham sticks with her and another forward showing is expected. VEXATIOUS ROSE (9) was sound on resumption over 1400m at Bunbury when only 0.3L off the winner. She'll be better for that effort and continues to knock on the door of a maiden victory. A win looks near and she won't be far away. HE'SNOTALLTHERE (4) was impressive last start and can build on that effort again third-up into the campaign. RARE HONOR (2) can feature third-up and out to the mile for the first time this campaign. SUGGESTED PLAY: Midnight Deal looks the one to beat.
