Solid tempo likely with Pat's Last Bang, Bannered and Sandfire Rose prominent. JAZALOT (3) has been superb from near-impossible positions in his past couple, racing really well without winning. He now gets a chance to settle closer, like he did earlier this campaign when winning on the Scarpside circuit here. His recent form is great and he can get back to winning ways. BANNERED (1) got the job done by 0.4L on the Scarpside circuit here last time out. On the quick turnaround now, but out to 1400m won't be an issue and ZJP's claim comes in handy. Rates highly on his effort here last week and can repeat the dose. SANDFIRE ROSE (5) won a trial coming in but was just fair first-up at Belmont. She's better than that though and she does improve strongly second-up into the campaign. Nottle sticks, she has early speed, and a much better card is on the cards. FIVE DOWN (7) can improve third-up and out in distance. AWESOME FORCE (2) can improve with the fresh run under his belt and he still has plenty of upside. SUGGESTED PLAY: Jazalot goes on top in the last.
