Reasonable tempo with Fortunate Spirit probably leading but a few others should keep him honest. COSMO RULER (6) trialled well coming into her fresh run and only just missed, beaten in a photo finish over 1300m at Northam. Pike rides now and she'll be better for the run. The rise in trip looks right up her alley and she can go one better now. FIELD MISTRESS (7) missed first-up in a solid performance at the same track and trip as Cosmo Ruler, and she ran a faster time as well. Beaten 1.4L there but her profile says she has more to offer and the form out of her last start has already been franked. Can improve quickly. PEMBETON (1) is first-up today on the back of a couple of solid trials coming in. Tested in Open grade before the break and he has a number of figures good enough to feature in this. MYSTIC CHAOS (5) won't be far away with a better barrier today, with the ear muffs coming off a big tick. FUNKY BOY (2) is next best. SUGGESTED PLAY: Cosmo Ruler can get the job done this time.
