Several of these have good gate speed so a strong tempo is expected. LA PETITE MAISON (4) was in the money two starts back at Townsville but couldn't back it up last time when sixth, beaten 3.5 lengths, at this track over 1100m. Suitably placed so anticipating a better run this time. UPSTART LEGEND (3) was just out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1100m here, but beaten only 0.9 lengths into fifth. This is a nice drop in grade so she is one of the main contenders. MAXIMUM POWER (6) worked home well to grab third at big odds at his latest appearance at Townsville over 1000m. Good signs last time and is worth including in calculations. ZAYA (10) is drawn to get all the favours from the inside alley and should give backers a sight. SUGGESTED PLAY: Boxed Trifecta 4,3,6,10.
