Nothing to run them along so the pace looks even at best. Sticking with the McEvoy newcomer theme with UNSTIRRED (12), a gelding by Exceed And Excel. He draws for a lovely run and strikes a very winnable maiden here against a few exposed types. He's jumped out well and looks the one to beat. AQUA STORM (1) has been thereabouts in two runs back, perhaps not seeing out 1425m on heavy ground at Geelong. The fresh run says he'll take beating. VIPERSTRIKE (6) didn't handle the heavy going at Moe last time but had been good on debut in a decent maiden at Kilmore and is in the mix. CHARLOTTE'S WEB (8) similarly can improve on firmer footing third up while HEAVENLY PHAROAH (2) can run well on debut off a jumpout win here. SUGGESTED PLAY: Unstirred to win.
