Solid tempo with Tears Of Victory leading from Shawshank and Ikidunot. STUDENT OF WAR (2) followed up his overdue maiden win with a determined effort for third at Riccarton 12 days ago, and even though he cops a wide gate here, he still has the ability to win a race like this. Stick with him. IKIDUNOT (3) was a very popular winner in the colours of the late Anne Herbert when winning fresh up by a short head at Riccarton just over a fortnight ago. He has the pole position and should again take some pegging back here. MOMENTO (6) won her maiden here very impressively when scoring easily with a big late run from the back of the field. Her next 3 runs have just been fair, but maybe a return to this circuit can bring about a better performance. Include in all top 4 combos. TRADER INN (10) has been thereabouts in his last couple of starts, and he is another who can figure in the finish with the right run in transit. DUJOUR (12) will be nearing her peak fitness fourth up from a spell, and she is not without a chance in an even contest like this. SUGGESTED PLAY: Student Of War can win this.
