Off the low draw The Peony Xpress should lead at a genuine tempo. KINGSBEER (2) fought on bravely for fourth, second up in the South Island at Riccarton just over 2 weeks ago, and he will be right at his peak fitness now. A tricky gate is no help, but he goes on top for us. IFYOUSTARTMEUP (1) has been racing consistently this year, and he was just beaten by a short head at Riccarton last time out. He is drawn to do no work from pole position, and he is overdue to go one better here. THE PEONY XPRESS (5) seems to be a lot stronger this year, and after needing his fresh-up when racing keenly in front, she was game in defeat at Riccarton last time out when finishing runner-up. Stick with her on an each-way basis, especially with the aid of a 4kg claim. SORORITY (6) tried hard and ran on late for second when making her debut at Oamaru just over 2 weeks ago. The extra 200m will suit her, and if she has any luck from a tough gate, she is a top 4 hope again. HONOR THE NAME (10) was fourth in her South Island debut, and she is worth including. Each-way. SUGGESTED PLAY: Kingsbeer can win this.
