Genuine tempo with Showlas leading the way. SUPERB VINTAGE (8) was solid at Belmont off a freshen when finishing off well, beaten 1.1L as a $41 chance. She rates highly on the back of that performance and this looks a suitable race on the back of that effort. May end up back in the run, but watch for her flying late in the race. MISS ALTAIR (3) led them up when resuming over 1200m at Belmont where she just felt the pinch late in the race. She was in the market there and the blinkers come off now with the run under her belt. Drawn much better today and can turn in a much better performance. DESERT ORA (6) made it back-to-back wins at Albany last start when an impressive 1.8L victor as a short favourite. Faithfull remains on board and the sting out of the ground is no issue. Wouldn't surprise to see the winning streak continue. SOSO LUCKY (2) is better than she showed last time out and can bounce back to form dropping in trip. SHOWLAS (1) is not to be discounted on her recent form. SUGGESTED PLAY: Superb Vintage can build on her last start performance.
