Tricky one to map with a large contingent of first starters but expect good early pressure. Tricky race to start the day. JAIPUR MAISON (9) comes here in peak condition which should be key if the rain arrives. Warmed up late when fourth over 1100m at Gosford. Doesn't have to improve much to win this. ESSAY (5) Zousain filly who returns for her second prep. Heavily supported on debut after her good trial placing over 799 at Warwick Farm. Snagged back from the wide gate and never got into the contest with a plugging seventh over 1000m in the LR Lonhro Plate at Randwick five months ago. Solid trial win and shouldn't be a Maiden for long. THE DIPLOMAT (2) showed good natural speed on debut before fading late to run seventh over 1250m at Canterbury. Can come on with that run and well drawn here. IAMBUBB (4) sound return for his second campaign with a close-up fourth at Newcastle. Second up he sat on the fast tempo and disappointed when pressured to finish sixth over 1100m at Gosford. Fitter now and keep safe. The chances don't end there. SUGGESTED PLAY: Jaipur Maison and Essay shape as the two leading prospects.
