No recognised leader engaged but Fiftyfivechevy has the pace to work to the front.
HOW MUCH BETTER (2) hasn't won for 61 weeks but recent efforts have been encouraging. Ran a couple of nice races in town then wasn't at home on a bog track at Muswellbrook last start in a run worth overlooking. Placed at three of four runs here and is well in after Stanley's claim. Plenty to like about his chances. FIFTYFIVECHEVY (1) has transferred to the Beer/Carpenter stable and comes off a 39-day freshen up. Form prior to the switch was in town and on the wane. Should sharpen up following the reset and he is ideally placed back in a provincial BM64. WAEREA (3) returned from an 18-week spell and was lining up for only the third time when successful in a 1400m Kembla maiden recently. Has plenty of scope for improvement and is not out of place in this field. COSMIC AVENGER (6) took a long while to break the maiden which came at Hawkesbury last start. Chance again with a couple of key gear changes. The speedy YABBY PUMP (4) is going okay and should give backers a sight. SUGGESTED PLAY: How Much Better each-way.
