Dare You has good gate speed and can overcome the wide alley to lead. DUJARDIN (12) is a promising filly who was placed over 1600m at Whanganui in her penultimate start before missing the frame here over the same trip last time out, just over 3 weeks ago. The blinkers going on will help, and despite drawing wide, she is still the one to beat for us. THE SPANIARD (4) is an Almanzor gelding who has been given plenty of trial experience. He impressed with a win at his latest trial and will step out over a mile for his debut, which will suit his breeding. The market will tell the full story. ASTRUM (7) ran his best race yet when working home well for third over 1400m at Taupo 12 days ago. The extra furlong is ideal, and with the advantage of the pole position, she can continue to improve. Each way. VAN PELT (9) finished eighth, but was only a length and a half off the winner that day, over 1600m here. She is continuing to get better, and a wet track would be no problem. Stick with her. NEFFU (2) will be peaking third up, and he is capable of a top 3 finish. SUGGESTED PLAY: Van Pelt each way.
