Moderate pace with Victorious Warrior taking up the running ahead of Small Town Girl and Hero Of War. MIDORI BURLY (3) has been steadily improving since relocating from Hong Kong, and he just peaked late when fourth over 1600m at this track last time out, running home strongly along the fence. This field lacks any real depth, and he will have no more fitness concerns at this stage of his prep. On top. LISTENING (11) settled near the rear but closed off nicely to finish fifth over 1600m here last time out. She is probably looking for more ground now, but if the track gets wet, then her winning chances will soar. UNWRITTEN (5) was close up in fifth over 1500m at Pukekohe last start, continuing with her consistent form since winning here in December. The return to a mile will suit her, and she can figure in the top 4 here. HERO OF WAR (8) resumed just 9 days ago over 1500m at Pukekohe and ran on well to finish fourth, beaten by just under a length. She will strip fitter for that effort and should go close to taking this out. ROB'S MISTAKE (9) is a last start winner, and he can repeat. SUGGESTED PLAY: Midori Burly to win.
