Plenty of first starters engaged which makes it tricky to map, but we can assume a keen tempo. THE AVIATOR (5) resumed with a narrow defeat over 1200m at Doomben. Led them up in that and will strip fitter. He won't have to improve much to win. UNDER ARREST (8) resumes gelded and has trialled well at Doomben with race rider Marshall aboard. Placed in an Open 2 at Ipswich two starts back and expect him to have come on and be ready to go. PRECISE TORQUE (9) peaks and has been threatening a win. Races forward and has race fitness and a handy 2kg claim. Gets another chance on an each-way basis. SILVER SPOON (11) resumes and would have claims if produced near best. Has two Doomben trials under the saddle. SUGGESTED PLAY: Going with The Aviator.
