Pace looks sure to be genuine with Carnamah and Mallee Maid matching motors, closely followed by Haiiro. Several chances but hard to fault IL CIELO (1). Easy winner two back then just missed last time, both over a mile. Big weight but in top form and will be tough to hold out again. LANE CHANGER (6) looks the main danger. Raced on speed in richer company at Cranbourne when beaten just a length then a close-up fourth at Sale in tougher company latest. Well placed here and deserves a win. HAIIRO (2) is a progressive type who has raced just three times for two minors before a 2000m maiden win latest. Given a spell and looks suited at the mile fresh. Surely improved and worth keeping safe fresh. ZIGGY STARCRAFT (7) wasn't far away last time when having his first run for the new yard and off a let-up. Extra ground is a plus and can measure up. TARSHIN (10) was beaten just a head over this trip last time and should be competitive again. SUGGESTED PLAY: Follow up on Il Cielo.
