Off the low draw Lilac Girl should lead at a genuine tempo.
RACH (5) made it three minor placings from three runs this prep, and six overall, when she boxed on well to finish second over 1250m at Canterbury last start. Needs 1400m at this stage of the prep. Ideally placed to break through dropping back to a provincial maiden. PEACE AT LAST (7) hasn't been far away in her two runs to date, the latest an eye-catching fourth over 1200m at this circuit. By Dundeel so any step up in trip at this point will help her cause. MISTER MARTINI (3) wound up late to grab third, beaten less than a length by Rach, when resuming over 1250m at Canterbury recently. Gets a soft run from gate one and over more ground is going to prove tough to hold out. FEAZABEEL (2) was slowly away but still a little disappointing as favourite over 1500m at Goulburn last start. Placed in town over this trip when fresh from a spell the run prior. Worth another chance. SUN TO ME (6) is one for the exotics on the back of some steady recent form. SUGGESTED PLAY: Not much between the top four selections - leaning to Rach.
