Only a small field with Ave Cantare likely to find a comfortable lead. RITUALIZE (1) resumes and showed plenty on wet tracks in his brief initial preparation. Broke Maidens two-back at Doomben on debut and has trialled well in the lead-up to this. Will be naturally improved and take beating. AVE CANTARE (3) led and won a Sunshine Coast Maiden easily two back on debut and has trialled sharply twice at Doomben for her return. She's sure to have come and is also a live chance. HIGHGROVE ROSE (2) will come into her own over further but was just nudged out at this track and trip first-up last preparation. Has trialled well at Doomben and Maloney is a key jockey engagement. Has plenty of ability. SILVER SMASH (5) peaks and will be around the mark. SUGGESTED PLAY: Ritualize to win.
