Reasonable tempo with Allusive Intent probably leading but a few others should keep him honest. ZOYSIA (1) former Chris Waller-trained gelding who returns for the Kieren Hazelton yard. Not that far away on resumption from the wide gate with a respectable fifth over 1200m at Canterbury. Back without a trial and should prove too good for these. ALLUSIVE INTENT (3) hasn't been that far away in his three career starts and comes here in peak condition. Stalked the good tempo with a tough fourth over 1000m at this track. Has the upside to overcome the sticky gate. FORTIANS (6) failed to run out a strong 1200m with a plugging fourth over 1200m at Mudgee. Goes well at this track and can take a hand in the finish. MR GUNNA DO (9) trained locally and will appreciate the claim. Covered a stack of ground in the run and had nothing left in the tank when a fading seventh over 1300m at this track. Trip suits and stays in the calculations. SUGGESTED PLAY: Zoysia can assert his class.
