Strong pace from Some Style and Poseidon's Son matching motors with Meldubious close at hand. SOME STYLE (8) resumes for the premier metro stable with last season's champion hoop engaged. Ran here best race two back over 1400m when she led and won an Eagle Farm Maiden easily. She's prepared with two 1000m Doomben trial wins and will be further improved. A bold return is on the cards. MELDUBIOUS (3) has missed a place twice as favourite in town following his comfortable first-up win in a CL1 at Eagle Farm. Has a 1.5kg claim today and maps well. Peaks and is worth another chance. SIR MAURICE (6) improved sharply beaten a whisker over 1200m at the Sunshine Coast. It was a tough effort from a wide barrier and he will jump from the paint in this. Keep the handy 2kg claim and can threaten holding the form. EXPRESS BARBIE (9) is an ex-Victorian and was beaten 1.2L on the Gold Coast poly second-up for the new barn. Has more up the sleeve and has a 2kg claim and the blinkers applied for the first time. Fitter again and consider. SUGGESTED PLAY: Some Style appeals.
