Genuine tempo with She's A Dame leading the way.
BARRENGARRY (5) resumed in impressive fashion over 1400m at Kembla last start, driving hard late only to just miss in a busy finish. Lightly raced three-year-old perfectly placed out to 1600m second-up. Drawn to enjoy the run of the race so he is hard to go past. SHE'S A DAME (10) made it four minor placings from five career runs when edged out in a three-way go over 1500m at Kembla last time out. Very fit and looks ready to run a strong mile. ALMONZO (4) tackled a similar maiden here three weeks ago and had every chance but lacked a change of gears when it mattered. Sparingly raced and might be the big improver with blinkers going on for the first time. COOL SUMMER NIGHTS (11) closed off well when resuming over a shorter trip at Taree recently. Harder here but the step up in distance helps the cause. ALL STAR (3) comes here off a six-week freshen up with synthetic hoof filler which rings alarms. On form is a chance but the betting should tell the tale. SUGGESTED PLAY: Keen on Barrengarry.
