A solid tempo is anticipated with Lotus Silk and American Matador kicking up to hold out the next wave. ONE DANCE (4) won her maiden four starts back and is ready to salute again after a string of recent placings, the latest when third over 1400m at Fairview All Weather. Goes well over this trip, filling a placing at all five starts, including a win and is sure to play a big role. OVERTURE (5) debuted with a narrow win last start over 1200m at this track with today's rider Wayne Agrella the pilot. Got back but stormed home in a powerful finish. Gets some weight relief this time so he is right in contention. LOTUS SILK (2) has not raced since she finished eighth over 1600m at Fairview All Weather on November 28. Generally goes well here with a win and two minor placings from three tries. Everything points to a big run. KEY NEWS (1) is back from a spell of six months. Closed last campaign with a minor placing over 1600m at Fairview All Weather. Has switched to the Dean Smith yard. Worth plenty of thought.
