Shamwari should lead and dictate terms. MUSTANG MORGAN (3) failed to fire in a stronger field over 2100m at Trentham nearly 5 weeks ago. His form prior to that recent run was heading in the right direction, and he can bounce back and win this. JACK CRABB (1) produced a strong performance to score by nearly a length over this course and distance last start. He won't find this much harder, and he can repeat the dose. LIQUID FIRE (2) showed early speed when resuming over 1600m at this track, but peaked on his run late to finish well back. He strips fitter, and if he doesn't need this run as well, he can figure in the top 3. VISTOWN (7) was not bad last time out over 2000m at Matamata 6 days ago. She ran her best race this prep in a similar race 3 starts back, and this race suits her racing style. Stick with her. BLACKWATERFOOT (5) has been mixing her form, and even though she has found it hard to win another race, she is capable of figuring in the top 4 in a field like this. SUGGESTED PLAY: Mustang Morgan can win this, and Vistown is ready to show some form again.
