Solid tempo with Lugarno, Golden Smile and Monty Be Quick going hard, closely attended by So You Ready.
GOLDEN SMILE (6) led all the way and recorded a devastating seven-length win over 2200m at the Beaumont track two back. Backed that up with a close second to Monty Be Quick over 2000m last time. Needs this longer journey and will be hard to beat. SO YOU READY (10) has been in work for a while and finding it hard to win. Even effort last time to finish a distant third over 2100m at the Beaumont. Drops 4.5kgs today and gives every indication he will run this longer journey right out. MONTY BE QUICK (3) led all the way and held off a determined Golden Smile when they clashed over 2000m at Hawkesbury recently. New to this trip which tips things away from him today, but he should be competitive. SOUTHERLY BUSTER (7) has been easily accounted for in recent runs but may show a bit more today with blinkers on for the first time. MEDIARO (5) races well here and can improve dropping back to provincial company. SUGGESTED PLAY: Keen to be with Golden Smile.
