GOING: G(4)

Vale Pat Hyland Handicap 1000m

Track: GOOD 4   Clouds (Max: 25)   Rail: True Entire Circuit.

Only a small field but Epic Centre, Frose and Bold Print will ensure a genuine tempo. BLETHYN (1) will take beating. He got up in the final bounds first up at Cranbourne against some sharp types having always promised good ability. He was having his first run as a gelding there which is always noteworthy and the big track here should only suit better. TUSCALOOSA GEM (5) took on a stronger race second up at Caulfield Heath and couldn't figure. The fresh win here at short odds says she's a strong chance of bouncing back. BOLD PRINT (2) resumes. He can mix his form a bit but his best is good enough and he can be in this for a long way. MACHINIST (4) hasn't quite fired this time in but wasn't far away last time and can stick on for a placing, as could EPIC CENTRE (3) who is going okay without winning. SUGGESTED PLAY: Blethyn to win.
