SIRIUS (13) doesn't win very often but ran a strong race last time out over 1200m at this track, finishing second and beaten 1.75 lengths after being in contention on the turn. Looks well placed so expect another big run this time. CERF VOLANT (2) is coming off a last-start fourth, beaten 4.5 lengths, over 1200m at this track. Cherry ripe after two runs back and a good gate is a bonus. Credentials hard to fault. VENDAVAL (10) has been in the money at both runs this time in, the latest when second over 1200m at Chukyo Dirt. Does go very well at the third run in. Right in the mix. CANDLEMAS (11) finished seventh two runs back then improved last start but found a couple better over 1200m at this track, beaten 3.5 lengths. Finds a suitable race and can figure in the finish.
