LA ORACION (9) wound up strongly last time out to finish 1.4 lengths adrift in third over 1800m at Chukyo Dirt. Finally putting it together and will be tough to stop again. KURFURST (10) finished out of the money when fresh from a spell two starts back then was beaten 6 lengths when fifth over 1800m at Nakayama Dirt three weeks ago. Taking on a better line-up this time but he is up to the challenge. PLACER GOLD (15) has not raced since a moderate sixth over 1700m at Kokura Dirt eight weeks ago. Has won here at this trip. Best form stacks up so must be considered. MEISHO GEMMA (1) returns from a three-month break. Gets a soft run from the inside alley and is capable of a cheeky run while fresh.
