Strong early tempo with Hermes driving forward from a wide gate with Piko Argyle also handy. RED EVANS (2) kicked off this campaign with a win two runs ago. Not disgraced last time out when prominent at the corner before winding up in third over 1200m at Hanshin, beaten 0.6 lengths. Must raise the bar but another big run is on the cards. KHALEESI (6) was well fancied last time and did a good job to finish second over 1200m at this track at the third run of the prep. Winning rider Akira Sugawara stays aboard. Should be in the finish. PIKO ARGYLE (4) made progress last start to finish third over 1200m at this track. Taking on a better line-up this time but he is up to the challenge. SUPERMAN (5) ran a better race when second-up last start, finishing 3.5 lengths away in fourth over 1200m at this track. Has his share of talent and is a top-three prospect.
