Slick pace with Gregarious finding the front but it won't be a picnic with a few other speedy types engaged. Wide open on paper. RYLOV (2) disappointed here last time but brought decent form to that and is worth another chance. Represents an in-form yard, and the extra metres should suit. The 3kg claim brings him into it. BIRMINGHAM (13) spiked his figures, winning easily on the Sunshine Coast poly. The 3kg claimer has to manage a wide gate, but he's a chance if that works out. AS EXPECTED (11) peaks for the Robl yard and can be in the finish with average luck in the run. CLIPPER SHIP (4) didn't compete on the heavy track at Toowoomba, but his form prior reads well enough. Finds easier company, and Wiggins' engagement is a positive. SUGGESTED PLAY: Leaning to Rylov.
