Tricky one to map with a large contingent of first starters but expect good early pressure. Time for the 2YOs. STATEWIDE (1) just missed first-up when flashing late from midfield, beaten 1.6L three weeks ago. He draws a better barrier this time around and the drop in trip shouldn't be an issue. Can land the knockout blow this time. BLOW ME KISSES (5) led and capitulated on debut back in November and was sent straight to the paddock. Her latest trial with the blinkers on was very impressive and the shades remain on for raceday today. Speedy customer who will be hard to gun down. DELTASON (2) is likely to get a long way back as he has done in recent races, though this is an easier event on paper. He was very good in a similar race on debut and he's expected to be doing his best work late in the race. PERFECT SISTER (8) is on debut for Dan Morton and moved well at the trials coming in. Can make an impression on debut. VALANNE DAWN (9) gets Pike in the saddle for her debut and has to be included. SUGGESTED PLAY: With Statewide.
