Solid tempo headed by Smelter and Maravich. MARAVICH (4) is third up for the new stable and the former Victorian is well placed in this contest. He can use the low barrier and didn't have the best of it at Ipswich last time. MR CROWNING MOMENT (7) found a place over longer on a heavy track at the Sunshine Coast. He's in good hands, and Wiggins is a positive jockey booking. Better suited here and is a hope. FRANKEL MOON (2) goes well here and will be better for the first-up run. Draws inside and will get every chance over a suitable trip. SMELTER (5) resumes and has some form that would see him competitive. Has raced over staying trips, so kicking off over 1900m shouldn't be an issue. ARTSPACE (1) won't be far away if he puts his best foot forward. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Maravich.
