Expecting a solid pace primarily from Mount Pinatubo.
BUFFALO STORM CODY (2) won fresh up in his first start as a gelding here just over 3 weeks ago, scoring by an impressive 8 lengths. Dropping back to 1100m won't be a problem, and now that his mind is fully focussed on racing, he can win again. MOUNT PINATUBO (1) ended his last prep on a winning note and is resuming from a decent spell that would have done him the world of good. He is expected to be right in the finish, especially from a good draw. THE SPECIALIST (4) has yet to fire on this course and is resuming from a spell. He is reunited with S'Manga Khumao, who has never missed a cheque in 5 starts when riding him, including both of his career wins. Don't rule him out of a top 3 finish here. SALENIO PENINSULA (5) was good enough to be G3 placed in his penultimate start before taking a break. She has plenty of scope and can give this a shake.
