Esjay and Enflamed possess good early speed. Tough. HODGSON (2) is a genuine performer who just missed here 49 days ago. He races forward and is good on the fresh side. This looks like a suitable assignment. ESJAY (9) resumes for the Webster yard and owns a trial win. The first-time blinkers are applied and should be further improved. He races forward, and Huxtable's booking suggests he's pleasing. Stablemate REJOICED (1) resumes and flies fresh. He's been racing in much stronger company and has pieces of form that stack up. He's trialled well, and the 2kg claim helps with the weight burden. ENFLAMED (10) goes fresh and is a lightly raced galloper with upside. He will lead or trail from an inside gate, and as with the pair above, the betting will be key. DISCERNING (11) is an improver in the Currie yard, briefly freshened. She showed plenty early doors, and a better effort is likely. SUGGESTED PLAY: Leaning to Hodgson.
