Without a recognised leader, Rumours Abound and Fangela will likely set the pace. SPARRING (1) undefeated at this course and trip and won this race last year by a big space with the 61kg. Raced without luck at his three runs back in city grade and ready to win from the inside draw. Got lost down the Flemington straight when eleventh over 1100m at Flemington in BM84 grade on March 8. Kept ticking over with a sharp trial win at Gundagai over 1000m. Can get the job done with the 63kg. FANGELA (2) tough gelding racing in career best form. Kept to the shorter trips when scoring again over 1000m at Canberra in a TAB Federal. Gets weight relief with Prag's claim and capable of winning again. MR MOPPETT (5) smart on his day and returns from a let up. Covered plenty of ground in the run when a tiring eighth over 1000m at Warwick Farm on February 19. Kept ticking over with a placing in a recent trial at Gundagai. Value prospect. RUMOURS ABOUND (6) trained locally and has good figures on his home track. Ran sixth over 1000m at Warwick Farm in BM78 class at latest. Keep safe. SUGGESTED PLAY: Sparring and Fangela to fight it out.
