A race that lacks early pressure on paper. KOWLOON PRINCESS (11) has raced three times and has failed to threaten but she gets her chance today. Even effort to finish midfield in a $50k maiden over 1280m at Muswellbrook last start. Will find this a lot easier and from a much better gate she should have no excuses. TWINING CLASS (5) started at generous odds but ran on impressively to finish third on debut over 900m at Wellington last time out. Sure to take a lot from that hit-out and over more ground poses a serious threat. CURLY BEND (10) returned from a 169-day spell in good order recently, battling on well for third in heavy ground at Wellington. Steps up in trip which is a tick, as is the prospect of firmer footing. CONVERSATIONS (1) has placed two from four second-up so can improve on a modest effort when resuming. SUGGESTED PLAY: Kowloon Princess to score.
