Has the pace to be in a prominent position from the outset. Sure to be in the finish. MARIANA TRENCH (9) comes here off a break of nine weeks. Worth noting he filled a minor placing when returning from a spell last prep over 1800m at Chukyo Dirt. Lines up today for the first time for trainer Akishi Higashida. Rates highly and should take some beating. HENNY TYPHOON (7) fought on to score a narrow win at Kokura Dirt over today's trip at her last appearance on February 22. Nice weight drop so she shapes as one to consider. SUNRISE ARION (8) finished 12th over 1700m at Kokura Dirt at his most recent appearance on February 2. Better than that and has to be respected.
