Aquanaut to take charge ahead of Lightness at a good tempo. AQUANAUT (7) finished seventh two runs back then improved last start but found one better over 1400m at this track, beaten only 1.5 lengths after being in the firing line on the turn. Suitably placed so anticipating another big run. BILANCIA (2) finished fifth last start over 1400m at Kawasaki after racing on the pace for much of the way. Sure to give a great sight. LIGHTNESS (3) is usually thereabouts but finds it hard to win, with only one victory from 12 starts. Again tasted defeat last start when seventh over 1500m at this track, beaten 7 lengths. Placed to advantage so expect a big run. PALETTE FLAVOR (1) didn't make an impact at her last run before going for a spell on December 23, finishing 11th and beaten 13 lengths over 1500m at this track. Looks one of the genuine hopes in the race.
