Small field but plenty of pace engaged, including Red Caramel, Back From War and Littlemisssplendid. LITTLEMISSSPLENDID (1) made the expected natural improvement when winning her last start over this trip. She raced from just off the pace, quickened up well, and drew off in the closing stages. She is the only winner in this contest, and she can win again. BACK FROM WAR (2) is better than her last start in the Listed Wilgerbosdrift Ruffian Stakes as she was reported to have choked up. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. If finding the form of her penultimate run, she may be the one to fill the exacta spot. JINGLEBERRY (5) is an unraced daughter of Gimmethegreenlight from the Mike and Mathew de Kock stable with Gavin Lerena up. She is well related and should start her career on a positive note. The betting market will be the best guide with regard to her chances. RED CARAMEL (7) has fair form lines to her name. She shows good speed and may be hard to peg back at the finish
