Just a moderate tempo headed by Kennerite, Sir Aaron Echidna and Newcombe. DIGGERS AIM (4) turned in an eye catching debut and looks the main threat. Kicked off over a mile at Pakenham in a richer maiden and finished runner-up. Has upside and won't be a maiden long. NORTHWOOD VAMOOSE (12) is another close to a win. Came home hard to pace two back at big odds then started $51 and was beaten a nose this track and distance. Might go around value again today but looks close to a win. NEWCOMBE (6) was fifth latest but beaten only a length and won't be far away again. Race depth falls away a bit thereafter. DUNDONALD (1) could be an improver up to this distance. SUGGESTED PLAY: Win bet Diggers Aim.
