Solid tempo with Maktabi going forward from the good alley. JULIET BRAVO (11) comes here with a fitness edge over most of these in a weaker race. Stuck on well when fourth over 1280m at Orange in a Super Mdn. Can get cover on the backup and prove hard to stop. JASPER'S WAY (9) three-year-old gelding by Pariah out of Flagrant on debut for the Mulholland yard. Looked to have plenty up the sleeve when fourth over 860m in a Dubbo trial. Lugging bit goes on and draw helps his chances. MISSY MOSS (12) fitter after two runs back on her home track. Began awkwardly and failed to get into the contest when sixth over 1000m at Orange. Blinkers come off and the extra trip is in her favour. CONVERSATIONS (1) yet to break through in 34 runs and better placed out to the 1200m. Gripped on late when fifth over 1100m at Dubbo. Gets nice weight relief again on the backup. MAKTABI (5) returns from a 38-day let-up and back in trip. Will relish the 3kg claim and since fitted with a 900m Scone trial. Value chance. SUGGESTED PLAY: Juliet Bravo each way.
