No Second Thoughts, Tainui and Tropic Sands will push to ahead and set a solid tempo. D'ORO CHOICE (1) won well in this company two back over the 2400m. Massive jump in grade when a battling eleventh over 2100m in the Orange Cup. Will relish the 3kg claim and expected to return to form. THREW (6) tough gelding with a good record over this track and trip. Dropped in class on the backup when second over 2400m at Wellington. Gets weight relief with the claim and maps to get the right run. TAINUI (5) lightly raced gelding chasing his third straight victory in his first prep. Up in class and trip after scoring a soft win over 1700m at Wellington. Kody Nestor retains the mount and he finds a very average BM66. SHUBICK (7) chipped away late with the 59kg when sixth over 2200m at Dubbo. Backs up quickly and stays in the mix. TROPIC SANDS (3) struggling to break through this time in and will find this more to his liking on the firmer track. Never handled the heavy (8) surface when sixth over 1890m at Newcastle in BM64 grade. Value chance. SUGGESTED PLAY: D'Oro Choice to return to form.
