Plenty of speed runners engaged, with Magnesia Brick, Back Up Again and Black Tinker prominent. ESPECIALLY (7) was in the firing line on the corner and progressed nicely last start to finish a close second over 1200m at Kokura after missing the placings at the previous appearance. Best figures measure up. Sure to run well. UNDERSCORE (9) is back after a break of nine weeks. Started the last campaign impressively when in the placings over 1200m at this track. Rates highly and should take some beating. MAGNESIA BRICK (5) last appeared when fourth over 1200m at Kokura nine weeks ago at the only appearance of that campaign. Has the pace to settle in the leading division. Will be in this for a long way. ONIMARU (2) has not raced since he finished 15th over 1400m at Chukyo on January 6. Serious threat.
