Moderate tempo headed by Bouquet Of Iris. BOUQUET OF IRIS (8) is close to breaking through after finishing second last start over 1300m at this track. Eita Inoue gets the best out of this six-year-old gelding. Meeting a deeper field this time but he is up to the challenge. COSMO CALENDULA (2) finished 12th over 2000m in the G3 Kokura Kinen at Chukyo at his most recent appearance on August 11. Now under the care of new trainer Shinji Kudo. Should be hard to stop. T UP X (5) drifted back over 1300m here last time before winding up late to finish fifth. Was outdashed but got going late and the extra ground looks a big plus. Warrants plenty of respect. I'LL BE MAJOR (6) missed the frame last start over 1400m at this track when fifth. Well placed to turn things around.
