Pace should be on from the outset with Duty, Perkova and Tintern Power going hard, closely attended by Ornamental Lady. PERKOVA (2) is usually very consistent at this level and made up some solid late ground when finishing fourth here fresh up last week. She has won 2 of her 3 starts second-up in the past and with senior hoop Raymond Vigar taking over from an apprentice, she can take this out. DUTY (1) had 3 starts last prep for some mixed results. He was much better earlier in the year and his recent spell would have done him no harm. He normally takes a run to hit his straps but will be stronger this season and with the right run from his handy gate, he can figure in the finish. ORNAMENTAL LADY (3) has yet to break through in 9 starts on this track but has been placed 5 times. She did not get warm last time out in a 5-horse field after drifting a long way back early on. She slides down a class here and can bounce straight back into the money. TINTERN POWER (4) is a durable gelding resuming from a spell and will improve on whatever he does here. Look for him late as he can fill a first-four spot. SUGGESTED PLAY: Perkova to win.
