A solid early tempo assured with Ryuno Hildr setting the tone from wide out, joined by Zendan Taka and Live Driver pushing on from closer draws. BULLDOG WILD (7) is back after a break of three months. Went close to a maiden win before the layoff, finishing third at his latest appearance over 1200m at Chukyo Dirt. Has ability and can get off the mark. ZENDAN TAKA (4) raced on the speed last start and battled on well but found one better over 1200m at Niigata Dirt, a massive improvement on her first two runs. Good enough to take this out. POP GROOVE (9) was in the firing line on the turn and finished third last time over 1200m at Nakayama Dirt, beaten 3.5 lengths. Progressive filly with bright prospects. RYUNO HILDR (12) returned from a spell three weeks ago when she was beaten 6 lengths into fifth over 1000m at Niigata. Will take a lot from that outing.
