THE PANASONIC CUP (HANDICAP) 1400m Track: STANDARD
Plenty of pace from Harmony Great, Bottomuptogether and Drombeg Banner matching motors ahead of Packing Hermod. PACKING HERMOD (11) is an exciting galloper on the way up, winning by 1.3L after sitting on the speed throughout. He has the pace to cross from the outside alley and he still has plenty of upside ahead of him. Right down in the weights now and he can continue his unbeaten run. YOUNG CHAMPION (5) was only fair last start, but there were some excuses. He's trialled well since that effort and getting out in trip and back on top of the ground are both ticks. Drawn out, but with some luck he can get back to his best and make his presence felt. GREEN N WHITE (8) was superb first-up when running over the top to win comfortably over this course and distance. He drops a massing 9kgs today and if he get an unimpeded run into the straight, he'll be storming right down the outside. BOTTOMUPTOGETHER (6) pushed Wunderbar last start and that is good form for a race like this. Shouldn't be worried by the rise in trip and he can go one better.
